In Journey to the East project, each of us first worked on a month of Domke’s letter in the archive, so that we could possibly find out some texts corresponding to the photos. I worked on the letters Domke wrote in May, 1939, and inferred some event dates from his letters to finish our timeline.
I also worked on the location icon’s urls for our GIS map, because we found out the initial image url address can only be accessed by the person who copied the url address, but not everyone can see the icon on the map. I worked on the website url to make all of them accessible. In addition, I also sorted the images for different events into each folder, so it will be easier to find while turning into the story map.
In the future, I would focus on the audio converting of the music book, as well as adding videos and annotation to the story map.
